From the first time I talked to Taryn on the phone I knew our time together was going to be special. Taryn is kind and loving, and the way she talked about her love story with Jake was something special... She was right. It was clear through every element of their day that these two are best friends and each other's biggest fans.
Taryn and Jake said “I do” at the stunning Blackfox on Welsh in Laramie, Wyomng. It was a day marked by genuine love, not just between the couple but also for their families. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that their wedding wasn’t just about the two of them—it was about honoring the people they care about, including Taryn’s late father. Family photos and keepsakes were found all throughout the venue, and nods to the people they love in every detail.
Taryn looked radiant, her excitement shining through in every moment. But beneath that joy, there was also a sense of quiet reflection. Her father’s absence was felt deeply, and the ways in which they chose to honor him throughout the day were truly touching. During the reception, the two took a moment to pay tribute to him and sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" as Taryn always loved attending Diamondback games with him. I still have chills.
Jake looked all day like a man who knew he’d found his perfect match. His connection with Taryn was undeniable, but it was his attention to her and their families that stood out most to me. It was obvious that family means everything to both of them, with both of them telling me about all of the family and friends who had traveled to Wyoming celebrate. From heartfelt toasts to shared laughter and emotional first dances, Taryn and Jake’s families were deeply involved in every part of the celebration. The whole day was beautiful.
